Rain Once Again Postpones Activities At Old Dominion Speedway ..May 17, 2003
For the third week in 2003, rain has halted all activities at the Old Dominion Speedway in Manassas, VA. Heavy skies, overcast conditions, and a light, misty rain forced track promoters to cancel all activities. Scheduled events included a 100 lap NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series event for the Late Models. It would have been the first test of the newest Goodyear compound that will be used for the remainder of the season. The compound is a bit harder than the tires that were used earlier in the year. Also on the agenda was a 50 lap Redman Fleet Service Grand Stock feature, a 30 lap Mini Stock feature, and a 25 lap Gaston Automotive Speedway Sportsman feature. In addition, the Champ Karts and Mini Cups were scheduled for the second of their 5 race BDE Racing Series events. Next weeks activities are TBA.
