Old Dominion is receiving a lot of interest in its new U-Car (U-Can Afford Racing) Division.  In an effort to keep the Class affordable, as well as develop our Class in general conformity with other tracks, Old Dominion Speedway met with its Tech Officials and Sponsor, Convenience Car Care, and has amended our U-Car rules effective June 28, 2004.

These amended rules are on Old Dominion Speedway’s website and supercede the previous rules dated 3/1/2004.  If you are planning on building, owning or driving a U-Car, Old Dominion Speedway and Convenience Car Care Centers, Inc. will hold our first “U-Car Mixer” at Old Dominion’s new Hospitality Tent July 14^th at 7:00 pm.  Light snacks, tables and chairs will be provided, please bring your own beverage.

At this meeting, we will have a Tech Official and a U-Car under construction.  The purpose of the meeting is to get acquainted, talk about an accelerated race schedule, safety items, and plans for 2005.  Special Test Sessions for this new Division will also be discussed.  This is an invaluable meeting for anyone planning to run a U-Car at Old Dominion.  Please come and have some fun with us July 14th!
