We are pleased to announce that Interstate Specialties has renewed their sponsorship of the “David Fries Memorial 6.0 Motorcycle Series” for the 2012 season, a series of six special street motorcycle shootouts to be run once a month at Old Dominion Speedway.
The all-run series will be run heads-up on a 6.0 index using a .4 pro tree — first motorcycle to the finish line without going quicker than 6.0 wins. Entries must run a street tire, may not have a wheelie bar and must use a hand-release clutch.
Entry fee for these events will be $30 and the payout will be $300 to win and $100 runner-up. First round losers may buy back into round 2 of the Motorcycle Eliminator.
The schedule for the “David Fries Memorial 6.0 Motorcycle Series presented by Interstate Specialties” will be: April 27, May 25, June 29, July 27, August 31 and September 28. Any rainouts will be run on the next scheduled Friday event, whenever possible.
We want to thank David Poague and Simon Pritchett of Interstate Specialties for their continued interest and support of our track and our great motorcycle racers and especially for their wish to honor the memory of David Fries in their sponsorship of this series. Please join us in showing your appreciation for their thoughtfulness when you see David and Simon.
