General Rules
1. Speed limit for all vehicles on speedway grounds is 10 mph.
2. Disorderly conduct may result in expulsion from speedway grounds.
3. Driver must possess and carry valid Drivers License in order to operate any type pit vehicle on speedway grounds.
4. Any vehicle, including pit vehicles, if operated in an unsafe manner, may result in disqualification of the car associated with offending vehicle.
5. No warm-ups allowed in pit roads or parking areas. Warm-ups must be done in individual pit area with vehicle on jack-stands. Driver or crewmember MUST be sitting in drivers seat while vehicle is warming up.
6. All entries must display class and number in easily visible location– permanent lettering or white shoe polish may be used.
7. All entries must display legible ET dial-in in easily visible location.
8. All decisions made by track officials are FINAL.
9. Any protests must be filed with proper track officials that day; must be accompanied by a $100 protest fee.
Vehicle Preparation Rules
Common (these rules apply to ALL classes)
1. Drivers helmet required and must be Snell-certified: M-95, SA-95, M-2000 or SA-2000.
2. Driver must wear long pants. NO sweatpants.
3. Seatbelts required.
4. Working tail light/brake light required.
5. Coolant overflow container of at least 1 pint (16 oz.) required.
6. Battery must be securely mounted with hold-down or enclosed in a secured battery box.
7. Working neutral safety switch required for automatic transmission vehicles.
8. Fuel line must be located outside of drivers compartment.
9. No holes permitted in firewall or floor pan.
10. Air cleaner, hood scoop or flash shield that covers top, back and sides of carburetor required.
11. All vehicles equipped with nitrous oxide systems must have blow-down vent tube installed.
Footbrake ET Class
1. Common Vehicle Preparation Rules must be met.
2. No rubber fuel line longer than 12 inches is permitted.
3. Aftermarket transmission coolers, if used, must be plumbed with steel or braided-steel lines. NO rubber lines are permitted.
4. Minimum ground clearance of 3 inches is required.
5. Roll bar is highly recommended.
6. Stick-shift manual transmission vehicles may use line-lock system. NO two-steps. Vehicle must leave on line-lock.
7. Slicks are permitted. NO recap tires. NO small emergency spare tires.
8. Working brakes required on all 4 wheels.
9. NO drag race electronics may be installed in vehicle – even if disconnected or unused.
10. NO delay boxes. NO stutter boxes. NO 2-step boxes.
*** Driver MUST leave the starting line on a footbrake. If drivers leg doesn’t move or if there is doubt regarding use of footbrake, driver will be disqualified. Any driver caught with any drag race electronics in vehicle will forfeit all points and will be suspended from racing at ODS. ***
IF QUICKER THAN 9.00 ET, the following rules must be met:
11. Drive shaft loop required. Must be 360-degree type loop.
12. Stick-shift manual transmission vehicles must have a blow-proof bell housing.
IF QUICKER THAN 7.50 ET, the following rule must be met:
13. Super Pro ET Vehicle Preparation Rules 1 through 14 must be met.
IF QUICKER THAN 6.50 ET, the following rules must be met:
14. Harmonic balancer meeting SFI 18.1 requirements is mandatory.
Super Pro ET Class (7.99 and quicker)
1. Common Vehicle Preparation Rules must be met.
2. Rules 1 through 7 of the Footbrake ET Class must be met.
3. Drive shaft loop required. Must be 360-degree type loop.
4. Stick-shift manual transmission vehicles must have a blow-proof bell housing.
5. Must have fire extinguisher mounted within reach of driver.
6. Automatic transmission equipped vehicles must have SFI 4.1 transmission shield and SFI 30.1 flexplate shield.
7. Fire jacket is required.
8. Fire resistant drivers gloves are required.
9. All seat belts must be 5-point harness or better. All belts may be no more than 2 years old. Any belts with safety tag and date torn or cut off will be deemed expired and will not be allowed to run.
10. Roll bar is required. Minimum 4-point configuration. Six-point roll bar is recommended.
11. Wheel studs must protrude through lug nuts at least one full thread.
12. Open-wheel or open-top vehicles driver must have face shield on helmet.
13. External ignition kill switch required. With engine running, turning kill switch to “OFF” must stop the engine.
14. Rear axles must use C-clip eliminators.
15. Full-body vehicles must have working 4-wheel brakes.
16. Electronic delay boxes are permitted.
17. NO stutter boxes are allowed.
IF QUICKER THAN 6.50 ET, the following rules must be met:
18. Harmonic balancer meeting SFI 18.1 requirements is mandatory.
19. Roll cage, minimum 8-point, required. Helmet bars recommended.
20. Deflection plate required on all rear-engine dragsters.
21. Driver arm restraints required for all open-wheel or open-top vehicles.
22. Driver neck collar required for all open-wheel or open-top vehicles.
23. Fire jacket and fire pants required.
IF QUICKER THAN 5.50 ET or EXCEEDS 130 MPH, the following rule must be met:
24. Vehicle must be equipped with working parachute.
Motorcycle ET Class
1. Rider MUST wear Snell-certified helmet: M-95, SA-95, M-2000 or SA-2000.
2. Rider MUST wear leather or Kevlar jacket and gloves.
3. Rider MUST wear long pants.
4. Rider MUST wear shoes that cover ankles. NO tennis shoes.
5. Rider MUST wear face shield on helmet. NO sunglasses.
6. Working front and rear brakes required.
7. Chain guard and clutch cover required.
8. Working engine kill switch required.
9. Snap-back throttle required.
10. NO ridged front forks permitted.
11. Rear fender must cover full width of tire.
12. Number plate must be displayed on left side, riders left, of motorcycle.
13. Rider must have feet on foot pegs within 100 feet of starting line.
14. NO DELAY BOXES ARE ALLOWED.
IF QUICKER THAN 7.50 ET, the following rule must be met:
15. Rider MUST wear leather or Kevlar pants.
